Due to the narrow rail web and uneven rail surface, there are flaw misjudgment of rail web and rail base, clutter appearing and low detection accuracy in the process of flaw detection for slot track. To solve these problems, this paper analyze and design the parameters of 0 ° probe crystal, 0 ° + 37 ° combination probe plexiglass wedge and the skew offset angle and the incident point of oblique 70 ° probe based on the principle of ultrasonic non-destructive testing. By doing the flaw detection experiment on the damage block of slot track, it is verified that the new slot track ultrasonic probe has a good flaw detection effect, which provides theoretical and technical support for slot track ultrasonic flaw detector.
