Pool-Based Market with Bids from Electric Vehicles in the Presence of Uncertain Renewable Generation

A pool-based electricity model which incorporates the bidding from electric vehicles (EVs) and conventional generators and which accounts for the uncertainty of forecasted wind generation is presented in this paper. Electric vehicles are allowed to bid multi-part bids, through the aggregator to the market operator. The market model solves the stochastic optimization problem by maximizing the social welfare with two-stage constraints. We have shown that the participation of EVs into the auction allows the efficient utilization o f w ind energy,
