With the rapid development of energy internet and also power electronics, the intelligent electronic transformer, power electronic transformer and energy router have been proposed, which provide the basis for energy internet. This paper presents a Flexible Power Distribution Unit (FPDU) for energy internet. The concept, functions, specific classification, and application examples of FPDU are studied. The reference model for interconnect of FPDU based on Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) is proposed. Furthermore, four key technologies of FPDU including port plug and play access, multi-port energy routing, hierarchical information communication and layered energy management are researched in this paper. In the end, the paper proposes a Fully Flexible Power Distribution System (FPDS) for the energy internet. The FPDS structure used the new flexible electric equipment: iPower+ Router, iPower+ Switcher and iPower+ Hub.
