In view of the energy management strategy control of a kind of Parallel hybrid vehicle, combined with the advantage of the Pontryagin's Minimum Principle (PMP) in solving the local optimization problem, with the battery power as the control variable and the minimum fuel consumption as the target, and adopting the minimum principle, this research optimizes and simulates the energy control strategy which is used to determine power distribution between the engine and the battery on the basis of the established vehicle model. The results show that the minimum principle has a significant optimization effect on the energy control strategy. Compared with the rule control strategy, the fuel consumption of 100km/L is reduced by 9.5%.
