Bond Graph Based Modeling and Simulation of Marine Condenser

Condenser is one of the key equipments of marine steam power system. In order to build a marine condenser model which can give consideration to both simulation accuracy and computational efficiency, the mathematical models of condenser shell and cooling water flow are analyzed by lumped parameter method and distributed parameter method respectively. Based on bond graph theory, the characteristic modeling of a marine condenser is presented. After that, the system model is built on 20-sim platform and the simulation analysis is carried out. The validity of the condenser model is verified by experimental data. The simulation result errors of the condenser vacuum and condensate water temperature were 3.5% and 4.7% respectively. Furthermore, the dynamic response of the condenser under the disturbance of cooling water flow rate and temperature is studied, which provides a reference for the optimization of the control strategy of the condenser.
