Three Phase, 10 kVA Dual Conversion type Automatic AC Voltage Regulator - An Approach based on Fuzzy Logic Controlled Ćuk Converter and PI Controlled Three Phase Inverter

A Dual Conversion type Automatic AC Voltage Regulator control scheme is proposed using Fuzzy Logic Controlled Ćuk Converter and a closed loop PI controlled Three Phase Inverter in Matlab Sim-Power Systems environment. The objective of the system is to provide a constant 3 phase output voltage (User Specified) irrespective of the input. This system can be used in several ways i.e. as a 3 phase user specified AC voltage converter, as a voltage stabilizer which will protect the connected load from change in input voltage. It can also be used in Solar Photo-voltaic (PV) Systems where generation does not take place using any alternator, so conventional Automatic Voltage Regulators cannot be used. Being a completely power electronic device this system can be used comfortably for supplying a constant voltage to the load or grid from the PV System. Results show that the system is versatile for different input voltages as well as different loads. The system has achieved an accuracy of 99.49% for different input voltages at a constant load of 10kVA and 99.48% for different loads at a constant input voltage of 450 V_r.m.s..
