An AC-DC hybrid distribution system (HDS) including renewable resources and converters adds complexities to controlling the system voltage profile. This paper proposes an object-oriented voltage control method for the HDS. By using physically based device models, an HDS can be constructed according to the connectivity of the devices. Then, an optimal power flow (OPF) problem with the objective of optimizing the system voltages profile is formulated automatically. Both system and individual device constraints are considered. The OPF problem is formulated as a quadratic optimization problem and it is solved via a set of successive linear programs. The solution space involves successive linear program solutions which are optimal but infeasible. Convergence is achieved when feasibility is reached. After the problem is solved, the computed controls are implemented and the optimal system voltage profile is computed. An example test system of a simplified HDS is used for the demonstration of the proposed method.
