In this paper, we discuss the modeling and control of a wind energy conversion system based on a DFIG. The proposed control strategies are indirect control by PI regulators and the Backstepping technique. First, we test the performances of these two techniques to control the active and reactive powers, then we verify by simulation the performances in terms of the power setpoint monitoring, stability and robustness in the voltage dips event and the machine variation parameters.The simulation is carried out using the Matlab/ Simulink software with a 660kW generator.
