Secured Secret Sharing and Reconstruction Algorithm for Organizations

摘要

Shamir’s secret sharing scheme provides a way to distribute a secret in a decentralized environment. However, Shamir’s secret sharing scheme is vulnerable to malicious insider attack. To counter this issue authors proposed a novel secured sharing and reconstruction algorithm which is based on Shamir’s secret sharing scheme and Schneider’s Authenticated secret sharing scheme. The significant characteristic of this algorithm is introduction of the employee’s identity which alleviates malicious insider attack and shares are encrypted to entrust the confidentiality. The proposed algorithm is not only theoretically analyzed through retrieval of information, integrity, flexibility and storage requirement but also exemplified for proper understanding. Due to its simplicity, security and resiliency to attacks, it is well suited for implementation in the Organizations.
