摘要

To solve the problem that it is hard to choose the best model when the sample data test satisfies two or more kinds of distribution models, Akaike information criterion(AIC) was used for model selection in aero-engine reliability assessment. And 261 cases of failure data from three types of military aero-engines were chosen to test the effectiveness of the AIC. Results show that the AIC can choose the better fitting model than the traditional model.
