To verify the practicability and operating characteristics of low-voltage DC power distribution system in building, an AC/DC hybrid power supply system was built by Haimen Power Supply Company and Nanjing Golden Cooperate DC Power Distribution Technology Co., Ltd. An operation management system was designed to carry out system control and condition monitoring. DC loads such as DC refrigerators, DC air conditioners, air purifiers, LED lamps, and projectors can be efficiently supplied in a variety of situations through reasonable control strategies, and the power supply structure for AC loads remain original. The traditional AC protection scheme is adopted on the system AC side while an integrated DC power distribution unit was adopted in the system, and complete DC protection functions including active protection and microcomputer protection were integrated. The results of the operation show that the AC/DC hybrid power supply system of the building is operating in a good condition. While making full use of solar energy, it effectively improves the power supply reliability and power consumption efficiency of buildings, and has practical application value.
