Coordinate Control Study for Dynamic Partitioning and Load Shedding in UHVDC Receiving-End Power Grid

The safe and stable operation of the power grid is an important prerequisite for supporting the healthy development of the Energy Internet. With the rapid development of UHVDC and power load, it is becoming increasingly complex in the operation and control of receiving-end power grid. Load shedding is an effective emergency measure to ensure safe and stable operation of the power grid after grid failure with high economic and social impacts. To decrease the amount of load shedding it is necessary to study dynamic partition of power grid for some emergencies which have low speed demand. When there are more than one dynamic partition proposal to solve the emergency, the best one should be taken with multi-objective decision making. When the emergency cannot be solved by dynamic divisional technology only, to reduce the loss of the grid and consider the electric safety accidents, the coordination between dynamic partition and load shedding should be taken into account. According to the simulations of actual cases, with the coordination between dynamic partition of the grid and load shedding, the power grid can be secure and stable with less amount load shedding.
