摘要

The design of a miniaturized slot antenna based on SRR and CSRR loading is presented. The SRR and CSRR were properly placed to get excited by the electromagnetic fields of the slot antenna. The miniaturization was done with out increasing lateral or longitudinal dimensions of the existing antenna. A miniaturization of approximately 22% is achieved. The radiation characteristics of the miniaturized antenna are almost similar to that of the unloaded slot with low cross polarization levels. The resonance frequency of slot antenna was brought down from 4.2 GHz to 3.3 GHz with loading. The simulations were carried out using the ANSYS HFSS.
