摘要

In this paper, a X-band microwave motion sensor is utilized to accurately detect any object in motion and the interfacing circuit of microwave motion sensor with the microcontroller is been proposed. The unauthorized areas of mines are kept under investigation using a wireless sensor network (WSN) formed by microwave motion sensor nodes, each node is kept at a distance of 20 meters from one another. The sensor node consists of microwave motion sensor, a microcontroller and a Wi-Fi module. The paper elaborates the unique characteristics of microwave motion sensor that makes it ideal for eradicating illegal activities in mines with the help of the concept “Internet of Things”. The paper also explains the effectiveness of the proposed amplifier circuit using simulation results in LTSpice IV 180nm technology for practical use.
