A214 tension control system is present by this paper, which ensures the stability of surgical suture tension in the surgical suture coating process by controlling the speed of motor. This system takes the active pay-off method, which is different from the traditional method. The mathematical method of tension control system is established. In addition, the control strategy of servo motor is designed based on the speed-following theory, which improves the stability in the coating process by quick response to the changes of tension. We evaluate the system against the baseline by using the suture whose diameter is 0.3mm and the rated tension is 4.5N. The results indicate that the system can effectively reduce the tension fluctuations, and it can improve stability than the traditional method.
