Conclusions: We developed a novel and printable gelatin-based hydrogel to improve cross-linking reactivity as bio-ink for 3D bio-printing. The gelatin-PEG-tyramine hydrogel showed quick gelling process, which is feasible for in situ cross-linking for 3D bio-printing application. In this study, we prepared gelatin-based hydrogels with three different tyramine molar ratios (0.5, 1, and 5 mM). To evaluate the mechanical properties of three gelatin-based hydrogels, gel-forming time and rheology were measured. The hydrogels were formed within 4 to 8 seconds when HRP and H_2O_2 was used. As the tyramine feed concentration was increased, the gel-forming time was decreased. Also, viscosity of synthesized bio-inks were decreased when tyramine feed concentraration is low. As a result, we have developed bio-inks with high cell compatibility and fast gel-forming property.
