The effects of repetitive laser pulse energy deposition on the SWBLI over cylinder-flare models in Mach 1.92 flow were investigated. In the short cylinder cases of l = 5 and 10 mm, LED had a negative impact on the flow unsteadiness. Yet, in the long cylinder cases of l = 15, 20, 25 mm, LED had a positive impact of suppressing boundary layer separation and shock wave oscillation.
