摘要

This paper investigates the problem of switch-linear hybrid (SLH) and its application in reactive power compensation of single-phase static var generator (SVG). A composite unit (i.e., SLH), which is composed of a linear amplifier and a switch-filter unite, is proposed to improve the power quality, power supply efficiency and optimize the power factor. Besides, the topology and working principle of SLH are analyzed deeply. At the same time, a new method for widening the working area of the power device in this composite unit is proposed, which can widely broaden a range of practical applications. Finally, the SLH is used to construct a new reactive power compensation device by applying it into a single-phase static var generator (SVG) reactive power compensation system and the availability and accuracy of the new reactive power compensation device are verified by an experimental circuit.
