This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) operation range of the isolated bidirectional three-level (3L) dual active bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter with phase shift (PS) control. On this basis, the parameters optimized of 3L-DAB can be proposed to meet the requirements of ZVS under the PS control, which will improve the performance features of 3L-DAB by reducing the losses and increasing efficiency. At last, the simulation results showed agreement with theoretical analysis, and the theoretical analysis showed a great guidance for parameters design and performance optimization of 3L-DAB.
