This paper discusses the challenges of assessing high degree-of-freedom (DoF) dynamics of a parachute cluster utilizing computer-vision methods. Analysis is based on software that was developed, validated and successfully used on multiple occasions to analyze 6-DoF dynamics of single-parachute decelerator, unmanned aerial systems and projectiles. The paper describes analysis of the two sets of video data available for the two- and three-parachute cluster tests, and shows examples of time-space-position information that can be retrieved for such multi-body systems.
