This paper analyzes the need of getting constant tension control between multi coordinate drive of a winding machine systems; as the main requirement of many industrial production lines including steel, textile and paper film printing machines. Printing machine has been considered as an investigated case study, where two main challenges should be considered: first is that the Un-winder and Re-winder radius are changing then moment of inertia also change during operations hence the line speed and tension are also changing, and second is that the process could have any unexpected disturbances in paper film tension during operation process. The main objected contribution of this paper is to introduced a complete closed loop control system that is can overcome the effect of any disturbance during the machine operation at all zones, hence improve the quality of the final product. This paper proposes and analysis different controlled systems to overcome such challenges, hence getting constant tension of the thin film wire in all zones of the printing machine, then improving the quality of the overall printing process. Overall system model has been introduced and utilized for the simulation analysis using Matlab software; then results have been obtained for different operating conditions, showing the effectiveness of the proposed set to provide a closed loop control system capable of providing constant torque control for better quality operation of the whole production line.
