Application and verification of an electromagnetic field resonance type wireless power transfer method to mixing blade heated by induction heating

We have conducted study on wireless power transfer to mixing system, which can mix and heat simultaneously medium or high viscosity solution with mixing blade heated by induction heating. This system needs to supply an electric power from the top of the metal container, because it consists of a vertical type mixing blade and an IH coil for induction heating, a metal container, a low voltage high frequency transformer for insulation against liquid and a wireless power transfer coil pair. We discussed about the verification of this system that the energy balance is estimated and the frequency characteristics of the transmitting efficiency and the heating efficiency are estimated by heat loss and heat output of each components obtained by induction heating experiments and magnetic and thermal coupled analysis. As a result, we achieved 96.5[%] transmitting efficiency, 63.4[%] heating efficiency and confirmed the effectiveness of this system.
