Study of the compact structure of quadrature phase inverter

Rampant development and sophistication of wireless devices led to a new tendency of their miniaturization. This article is devoted to the miniaturization of a microstrip quadrature phase inverter. AWR DE program was used for numerical simulation of the phase inverter suggested structure with working frequency of 3,000 MHz, for calculating its amplitude response curve. Miniaturization with the use of the low-pass filter instead of quarter-wave sections helped to reduce the size by 52% as compared to the standard structure.
