A dualband antenna easily integrated with the Laptop for GSM/ WCDMA applications is presented and analyzed by FDTD (finite difference time domain) method. The proposed antenna structure printed on a FR4 single-sided PCB with a thickness of 0.8 mm and with a relative permittivity of 4.4 which is bonded to metal bracket possesses great characteristics of simple structure, easy production, low cost, good impedance matching, and wideband frequency. The prototype achieves dual bands of 136 MHz (824~960 MHz) in the lower band and 460 MHz (1710~2170 MHz) in the upper band respectively. It covers GSM frequency ranges of 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA and is suitable for NB antenna application. The measured gain is about 1.5 dB for 900 MHz band and is about 3.5 dB for 1900 MHz band.
