Holter monitor is a battery operated device that measures and records heart activity over the period of 24 to 48 hours. This device comes with a small monitor in the range of 110 × 30 mm and 61 × 46 × 20 mm and the weight is 99g. In the existing system, the holder monitor device operated on two/three channels and with two AA batteries. The primary use of holter device is to see if patient have slow, fast or irregular heartbeats if so, the patient should note the activity in a holter diary, which has been given to the patient while embedding the device on the patient's body. The complications with the already existing system include the difficulty in wearing the device all the time and the manual maintenance of the diary. The proposed system gives the knowledge about incorporating the existing holter device with the recent innovations of the Internet of Things (IoT) that integrates the functions of data acquisition, Extraction-Transformation-Loading (ETL), Historical analysis, data management and sharing, informatics-warehouse, knowledge acquisition. This system has the functions of storing, organizing, processing and sharing of data and other information. Historical analysis is based on the collection of medical data under various circumstances. Hive-QL technique is used for analysis and for producing the results. Hence, an efficient decision making and immediate report generation based on the analysis.
