Core process identification in software SMEs using core process analysis matrix

To deal with the dynamic changing environment of the software business, efficient management of operational processes is required. Firms need to focus on managing critical business processes because they can affect organizational conditions. In previous research, business process mapping has been done for the software company, but not yet identified core business processes that needed. In this study will be evaluated the business process and the determination of core business process using Core Process Analysis Matrix (CPAM). The study involved 12 samples of software SMEs. The results show that four critical business processes need to manage properly, namely software development, marketing, research, and maintenance. The findings are expected to become the foundation for software SMEs in managing internal processes of the company.
