摘要

A new design of a printed Yagi antenna with a rectangular-shaped reflector is proposed in this letter. In this design, the driver dipole is fed by a 50 Ω coaxial probe realized with two parallel strips printed on the opposite sides of two substrates. Using the two substrates increases the height of the antenna and causes a wider impedance bandwidth. Furthermore, applying a metalized reflector behind the antenna and via holes at the sides and behind the substrates reduces the back radiation almost as much as 15%. According to the measured results, the proposed antenna has a wide bandwidth of 830 MHz (3.75-4.58 GHz), peak gain of 7.78 dBi and compact size of 70×67 mm2.
