Virtual Digital Promotion and Communication of Yi Costume in Yunnan

This article takes the Yi nationality costumes in Yunnan minority nationality as an example, introduces virtual reality and somatosensory interaction technologies, overcomes the shortcomings of the forms too conservative and poor interactivity of the traditional digital means to achieve the research purpose of improving the virtual digital protection of national costumes. Proposed methods are as follows: firstly, we use 3DMAX to design and manufacture the 3D model of Yi nationality chieftain clothing; secondly, we use the model database of Yi chieftain clothing to structure the digital museum display system of virtual clothing; finally, we use the Yi chieftain clothing model database to develop the Yi chieftain clothing digital APP based on mobile terminal and use the Cardboard to achieve interactive wear of virtual clothing. Through the use of virtual exhibition design technology of 3D simulation and virtual interaction of garment, it can intuitively show the unique charm of Yi nationality chieftain clothing and culture connotation, so people can stay at home to understand the Yi nationality chieftain clothing culture and feel its unique beauty. Therefore, VR technology can be used to carry on the virtual digital promotion and communication of Yi nationality costumes in Yunnan.
