Survey Paper on Different MINIX Versions to Support Implementation of IPSec Protocol in MINIX OS

Progress achieved in the field of Computer Science is remarkable. In the olden days when the computer was considered quite a luxury there weren't many issues to worry about as compared to the ones we face today. Although we can't be very sure whether using a computer purely by providing instructions to the Microprocessor was more convenient or was it just another pain that one has to program a lot in order to perform a simple task. One possibility is that during the course of time young developers got used to the rigorous work involved and developed resource management systems which were later coined as an Operating System. With time new better applications and software's were being made available in the market. The only concern of the majority developers was just providing the market with new technology, however at the same time Vulnerabilities present were often neglected. This has on many occasions resulted in countless security breaches that involved compromising private confidential data over the years. Even today by proper research and study one can end up finding loopholes in well-established tech giants like Google and Facebook. Yahoo is the best example for its recent security breaches. This paper aims at implementing IPsec protocol in MINIX OS, since MINIX on its own possess a very tiny microkernel, many necessary applications as well as security features have been neglected. As an analysis while implementing IPsec in MINIX, Remote Cross Platform Connectivity and System Call functionality has been implemented.
