摘要

OBS is an upcoming technology that could meet the growing network demands. Though its dynamic nature leads to scalability and adaptability the requirement of security remains a constraint. The objective of this paper is to provide a solution for the vulnerabilities in OBS networks. It emphasizes the issues, security threats and the enhanced security mechanisms in the OBS network. And also, this paper focuses on introducing a framework of a speedy algorithm of HMAC authentication. Above said work is implemented on COTS FPGA using Xilinx ISE 14.6 platform. The synthesis model used is VIRTEX 7. To conclude, the proposed time competent HMAC design provides a better avalanche rate of 4.7%and also provides a fastness of 70ns when compared with the other conventional algorithms.
