A rule based advisory system for repair and maintenance of UPS

摘要

This paper explores the construction and use of rule-based advisory systems for diagnostics and maintenance of UPS. The task of advisory system is to aid in solving defined problems by recommending the solution from the knowledge base. It contains the whole knowledge necessary for addressing diagnostic and repair problems. The advisory system shall analyze the current state of the UPS and give advice concerning remedy or carrying out various maintenance activities. The advisory system acquires its knowledge from handbooks, catalogues, Manuals, MIB's and human experience. The proposed advisory system also keeps the historical data for trend analysis of frequency of occurrence of particular fault.
