Appendix A - Annual Awards, Past Presidents Conference Locations

The Canadian Technical Asphalt Association (CTAA) recognizes the outstanding contributions by Authors and Presenters with three specific awards, as follows: 1. The Elaine Thompson Editors Award for Written Presentation is given to any author(s) as an appreciation of excellence in the written presentation of the submitted paper. The Editor evaluates the paper with specific guidelines and criteria and selects a winner. 2. The Norman W. McLeod Award for Oral Presentation is given to a presenter for their excellence in oral presentation. The Award winner is selected by participants at the annual CTAA conference by a confidential voting process. 3. The Earl Kee Award for the Best First Time Presenter. The definition of a "first time presenter" will be taken to mean a documented author of the subject paper who is making their first oral presentation at the annual CTAA conference. The Selection Committee consists of 3 members at large appointed by the Board of Directors. Awards are presented at the annual Awards Luncheon. Appendix A provides the selection criteria for each award, as well as the respective winners. In addition, a list of Past Presidents of the Association and their respective conference venues is provided for posterity and in recognition of their contributions to the CTAA.
