Experimental results of the velocity measurement of the explosivedecomposition in a powdered FTDO sample placed into glass capillary arepresented. Samples were initiated by the pulsed neodymium laser light.Possibility of low threshold initiation of FTDO is exposed which is followedwith the transition to detonation. The velocity of stable explosivedecomposition comprised 9.4 ± 0.4 km/s. The obtained facts are discussedwithin the frames of hot spot initiation theory of explosion initiation.
