M- and nanostructured coatings and oil filled porous surfaces with excellent anti-icing and anti-contamination properties could be created. High contact angles of water and small roll-off angles of hydrophilic and hydrophobic liquids could be determined for some oil filled structures. For all approaches the long term stability regarding UV-light, rain- and sand-erosion has to be improved. For the oil filled porous structures a method to refill the structure has to be developed for an industrial application in the future.
