This study focuses on establishing an operating window of a multi-cell structurefor storing cryogenic propellants, with the use of an FE-based progressive failureanalysis. The multi-cell is a Type IV structure (composite over-wrapped with apolymeric liner) that was modelled with temperature dependent properties,obtained by coupon testing and fitting functions. A optimized composite patchshape and number of reinforcing rings are identified based on minimization inplaneshear during draping and spheres-intersections strain compatibilityrespectively.
