Reaction of the F2 region ionosphere on geomagnetic storms according to the data of the Tomsk ionospheric station

摘要

The paper presents the results of evaluation of the impact of geomagnetic storms on the Earth's ionosphere. As a data (investigated ranks) used the critical frequency of the F2 layer of the ionosphere and characteristic of geomagnetic activity - K_p index. The purpose of research is a quantitative assessment of the influence of magnetic storms on the Earth's ionosphere.
