Innovative solutions for Dynamic Umbilical Abandonment and Protection

Using traditional method to disconnect the hang-off risers on offshorefloating platform is very time consuming, if there are any new methodwhich can reduce the time to do such work, it will bring very bigeconomic benefit. With this purpose, creative scheme incorporate withpower cable seal and riser over bend prevention technology have beenintroduced by the author. Using this new scheme to conduct riserdisconnection work, the actual work time was reduced more than halfcomparing to traditional recovery method.
