Significance of hydrogen in the global energy model has been clarified as one of candidate technologies to mitigate climate change in addition to renewables, nuclear and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) in this paper. Hydrogen was considered as an energy carrier in global energy models [1, 2]. However the detail of international transportation of hydrogen is not clearly described in the earlier studies. We add the function that can treat inter-regional transportation of CO_2-free hydrogen into a global and long-term intertemporal optimization energy model GRAPE [3]. It was found that global hydrogen demand was approximately 1,000 Mtoe in 2050 using the model.
