The excess heat of the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine can be properly used as an energy source to carry out reforming reactions aimed at generating hydrogery when proper catalysts are selected, Here we have shown that the steam reforming of ethanol and commercial bioemanol is feasible at the typical temperatures of the exhaust gases of a small ICE, and the best performance has been obtained over/a RhPd/CeO_2 catalytic honeycomb.
