With the increase of bypass ratio of jet engine in order to provide better fuel burn and jet noise, jet noise source level installation effects and its interaction with airframe are becoming more and more significant. During development phase, engineering prediction must be available and the authors had undertaken the development of prediction capabilities, as no experimental database is available for such large bypass ratio. The article presents the hybrid approach for the jet noise interaction and its installation effects. The first deals with the extra noise creation from the presence of the wing/flap system, the latter deals mainly with the reflection of noise due to the wing/flap system.
