The present paper aims at introducing the new far field wall-mounted microphone device for the ONERA S1MA anechoic closed-section wind tunnel. This new device is based on previous research where metallic cloths (wiremesh) and recessed microphones prevent spurious hydrodynamic fluctuations without disturbing the acoustic measurement. This instrumentation is used for the far field acoustic directivity of an Open Rotor. In order to assess the acoustic quality of S1MA, the measurements are compared to those from another anechoic closed test-section wind tunnel.
