This paper describes the application of genetic and fuzzy logic controller on Load Frequency Control (LFC). The impact of Double Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based wind turbine on the system frequency is evaluated. Fuzzy logic controller and Genetic PID are developed and compared in order to enhance the response of the proposed system frequency. The controllers are employed local feedback signal from the output to the input. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed controller, a two-area power system is simulated over a wide range of operating conditions and system parameters changed. A two-area decentralized power system subject to various excursions was studied to confirm the powerful of the designed controllers of the DFIG contribution regarding the LFC issues. To analyze the time response of two area load frequency deviations with and without DFIG are plotted and evaluation.
