U-Tool provides an analytical tool for the activity of cities using as data source the geo-located activity from social networks and open data repositories. This tool analyzes the activity that occurs in a city in real time, detects Points of Interest, flows of crowds, hotspots, events, or even prevents emerging situations geographically located in a city before they occur. This tool creates spatial network models of cities and applies techniques of complex networks analysis to study their properties and assist on decision-making to understand urban economic and social effects on city planning. This tool has been applied in a real case: the analysis of visitors activity in Valencia during a cultural event called Fallas.
