One of the ways to increase the energy efficiency of railway transport is the improvement of the methods of the control, rationing and management of the process of electricity consumption. The solution of this problem implies the need to develop a mathematical models of the electricity consumption on railways. The methods and algorithms of the development of the mathematical models for railways are considered in this article. These models based on statistical methods and artificial intelligence theory, including artificial neural networks and fuzzy neural networks. The results of the proposed solutions are tested on Russian Railways and presented in this article.
