Real-time and the independence from execution environments are requirements for embedded software. Real-time is greatly affected by the worst-case execution time of loaded tasks. Among methods of measuring programs' worst-case execution time, the static approaches are the most frequently used. However the existing worst-case execution time analysis methods are not independent from execution environments. In this respect, we suggest a worst-case execution time analysis method independent from execution environments. This method measures execution time from source codes instead of executable codes. And it analyzes the relationships between the statements of source codes and the assembly instructions to parameterize the part of execution time that is dependent on processors thereby improving the flexibility of worst-case execution time analysis.
