Development of arc plasmatrons with long service life of electrodes

Investigation results on the electric-arc generators of thermal plasma (plasmatrons) with gas-vortex stabilization of arc discharge are presented. The relations of the determining parameters, corresponding to the minimal rate of destruction of the tubular copper electrodes, were defined. The efficiency of such plasmatrons for various electric technologies is shown at the example of specific schemes.
