摘要

The production process in an integrated steel mill produces gases, which can typically be used as fuel by the plant itself, and to generate steam and electricity in thermal power plants. A rational way to manage the use of these gases is through mixed integer linear programming (MILP). This article addresses the sensitivity analysis of the objective function with respect to the penalties associated to the decision variables of the optimization problem to evaluate the Tar price variation in the solution of the MILP problem. Tar is a fuel used in the thermoelectric plant with high market value and that should replace the gases generated in the steelmaking process only when the reserves of stored gas is small. As a result, it must ensure the choice of penalties so that the optimizer provides a gas distribution strategy that meets the demand for energy.
