摘要

This paper presents a modular topology for the design of a luminaire for street lighting based on LEDs. Each module consists of a driver which is composed by two integrated DC-DC converters. The first one is a sepic converter which is responsible for correcting the power factor, and the second is a buck converter which is responsible for the power control delivered to the load. Both converters are operating in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). In order to make the system more robust against failure, the topology proposes that each driver supply an independent set of power LED. Thus, in case of failure of one or more individual drivers, the system is not compromised completely. The design of the electronic drivers are developed. Experimental results are performed for the proposed lighting system in order to show the feasibility of the idea.
