The monitoring of seasonal variation of degree of saturation associated with the occurrence of rainfall events is a critical issue for the assessment of potential landslides. The paper focus the analyses on a stabilized slope located in Southern Brazil. The stabilization is composed of passive anchors combined with a metal mesh dedicated to retain the slipped masses in its remaining positions. The solution was monitored by instrumentation that includes tensiometers, load cells and a rain gauge, which allowed comparing measured suction and loading with rainfall events. Based on the monitoring over a period of almost two years, it was possible to infer the seasonal variation of the weather on the suction and load of the anchors system. Correlations between the levels of suction and measured loads during the monitoring period could be developed and suggest one direct correlation with the load level measured by load cells on the slope.
