Low voltage networks are of high importance within electric energy systems due to their relative big extent. Their primary task is to fulfill in a secure and efficient way the energy requirements of the consumers at the endpoints. The method by which the eventual faults within the networks are localized helps to improve the safety of the energy supply. This is achieved by observing the changes of the voltage values at the endpoints and in the distribution nodes. The presented method aims to reduce the length of the break-down periods and improve the work of the operation controllers by implementing an on-line automatic fault messages system.
